Network Marketing

TheaterI often wonder how it happens that talented actors or actresses manage to land roles in really bad movies. Did the script really look better on paper? Hopefully it doesn’t just come down to money.

There is a reason why it’s called a ‘leading role.’ They have the responsibility of carrying the entire cast. They have more lines and scenes for the purpose of conveying their message. From the viewers’ perspective they have a lot of selling to do before we buy the story.

But what does an actor do when the story has no plot, no premise, no purpose for being made? Good looks and special effects should enhance the movie going experience, not make it. How will they keep the crowd interested, let alone entertained?

‘Network Marketing The Movie’

There may be a lot of drama in the process of putting together a marketing campaign but that’s not the whole story.

We may need to employ some special effects in converting prospects to our primary business but that’s not the plot.

No matter how good we look, people who’ve joined us aren’t going to grow by getting a makeover. I know it may help for some to look the part of a business leader but that’s not what wins the Oscar.

These are all just chapters in a story that has no conclusion. Each character in our story moves from setting up a marketing campaign, to qualifying leads, to sponsoring reps, to providing leadership and training. Every time this is duplicated we have another chapter, with excitement of a whole different variety.

The casual observer misses the premise because this movie has unlimited sequels, and subplots to infinity. No sooner do they latch onto the leading character when someone else assumes that role.

‘Network Marketing The Movie’ might be an utter bore to the audience of onlookers, but they’ll still have to admit the actorleaders are fun to watch.
